Men Without Work is, essentially, a book about a mouthful of a statistic: the prime-age male labor force participation rate. In layman’s terms, that’s the share of working-age (i.e., 25 to 54) men who are either employed or looking for work. As Eberstadt explains, this rate has been steadily declining since the 1960s. That means millions of men who would have worked decades ago are now not only not working, but not even actively looking for work.

Why should anyone work? Work might be hard to do and require some thinking and manual effort! Just file a claim for unemployment or better yet file a claim with SSI! Free money from the Government and if you have children you can get even more FREE Money! You can also get free food! WOW! What a deal the US has for anyone who does not want to work!
Where is the work ethics? Where has the pride of self gone to? It seems as if so many have no self respect but expect everyone to respect them no matter what they do! GOD Help you if you happen to 'dis' one of these helpless folks, they might hit you or even shoot you for your comments! I think the US needs to bring back the Death Penalty as a deterrent for many of the crimes we see happening everywhere these days! ;-) I SALUTE All My Fellow Veterans and Loyal American Citizens!!! GOD Bless America!!!
