Biden's fecklessness may have directly caused this, but the utter lack of leadership and failure of purpose by JCS and DOD enabled it. Fire them!

Yes, but let's be clear, this was a CIVILIAN DoD SNAFU (and I agree about the JCS), but the troops on the ground and the combatant commanders were given a no win scenario. DoD had gutted the logistical infrastructure of the base. No contractors means no food service, housing service, transportation, fuel, security, latrines, power or water support, engineers, communications. All had to be provided by combat supply chains. Combat support and combat service support were almost nonexistent. DoD civilian leadership exposed those troops to unreasonable risk.

We had that area of the world under control. Now with President Biden's policies and ordered retreat from Afghanistan over the last 2 years we have no human intelligence in the area and terrorism is growing again. Did I mention we are now laughed at by our enemies and allies?
