I have to admit, I enjoyed NPR for many years, and they often acted like the BBC addressing multiple points of view. But here lately I have to agree, other than a few select shows, something I hear things and wonder ..............................

Oh, listening to something is not the same as accepting what you are listening to at full value. So, listening to be aware of biases and where they come from with their faulty logic is never a dreadful thing. We all know when people are lying to us, but you never if something is a lie without ever training your ears and mind to know the difference!

Also, smugness is arrogant dressed up. But I still listen to NPR so I am prepared for those who are NOT questioning so I can question them!!!

Just saying.............................

Thank you from a consumer point of view. They give the pretense of looking at all angles, but they always give preference to progressive viewpoints.

SFC (Join to see) - Keep in mind many of their "correspondents" are located in large cities. It often makes me wonder in our mobile world why NPR does not have "road show" that travels in one more NPR buses. Interestingly, I have done a Goggle and Bing search and find stories on "school buses" but found nothing after going 10 pages deep.

How interesting would it be for NPR to have a road show that travels 365 days a year speaking with locals from across the nation and partnering with local NPR channels (see: https://legacy.npr.org/stations/pdf/nprstations.pdf).

They could all the program "Constant Motion". The tour bus could have a studio on it (or) it be towed behind the bus. How interesting would this be? They could pick 10% of all locations in each state to stop at and have a show say every other day and work to cover all locations every 3-5 years.

It would be interesting programming. If they started in Spring 2023, they will have travelled the entire nation. It would be easy to plot these locations on a national map to track the bus. This would be interesting!

Just saying..............

I used to enjoy NPR also. I wonder if they really changed or if our eyes were opened to the truth, or maybe a little of both.
