SPC (Join to see) thanks for the "Tour" of Loretta Lynn's hometown... Butcher Holler... worth the time to watch the whole thing.
A QUOTE F.T.C. - "I was born and raised in Clay County KY. My Dad and his family was from Floyd County. My Dad worked in the coal mines his whole life . My Mamaw's house was at Drift in Floyd County and back in the 90s we raised a big garden with her. One day after working hard picking green beans my Mother, my niece and me decided to take a break and travel to Butcher Holler in Johnson County to see Loretta's homeplace. Herman Webb saw us as we were driving past his store and he followed us up to the homeplace. He was very handsome and so polite and so gracious. Herman took us inside the little house and we had such a wonderful visit with him. When it was time to go we all went outside to get in our car and I'll be darned if we didn't have a flat tire. Herman changed that flat tire for us that day. I will never forget Herman Webb and his kindness. I know that Herman, Loretta,Clara,Ted and the rest of the family who have passed are in heaven and I bet they are all singing together once again."
