Blastoff! NASA's Artemis 1 moon rocket launches on historic first mission

Ever since SpaceX successfully landed its first rocket, all others became obsolete. For example, each of the four main engines on this rocket cost almost $100 million, and all, plus the rest of the rocket, are headed for a watery grave after this one launch. Why did NASA continue this waste of money after it was proven unnecessary?
