SGT Ruben Lozada - I have Comcast service also. I usually get at least 5 or 6 years out of routers I bought separately. This is why I say for me it pays to buy my own.

We moved our home office. To a far corner of the house. The Internet signal didn’t reach the other end of the house. We use Xfinity router. I bought a router extender and it took me most of the day yesterday to set it up. No one we’ll ever accuse me of being techno nerd. One of the so called “tech support” sites tried to scam. I just hate doing this stuff. The repeater works great, it is rated one of the best.

LTC David Brown - Sounds like you're like me sir. I know just enough to be dangerous. When I find something easy, or finally get something done, my Hallmark phrase for myself is: Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. :)
