I thought that this article was going to look at the psychological benefits of exercise, how exercise might help alleviate PTSD. There's plenty of extant research on the subject. Just Google "psychological benefits of exercise" and you'll find links to many scholarly papers and studies on the subject
I know it's helped me. I not only feel better physically when I'm fit but also mentally. And during a particularly "rough patch" in my life I rowed twelve miles or more every night to retain my sanity.
