Interesting choice by the Marines. I understood and complied with the hair regulations; my issue with those who wanted to wear longer hair "down" is and was safety.

Yes, I served in integrated units, medical and Military Police, and none allowed women to have hair in uniform below the collar, same for men of course. My understanding was that it is because you can't properly don a protective mask with masses of hair.

It's definitely a challenge. And personally, if I am in a place where I might need that mask, I don't want anything to get in the way or slow me down MAJ Montgomery Granger
