It's crazy how the Army has changed regulations that now it takes a one-star general to approve the German military efficiency badge! Talk about micromanagement! When I was at the Old Fort McClellan military police base, we had a German liaison officer who taught us active duty how to judge the award and we turn in the paperwork and he would issue us the award with a German certificate and I earned it in bronze. When I was with task force Caesar during operation Noble Eagle 3 at dugway proving ground, utah, our Brigade staff was also taught as certified to give the German military efficiency badge evaluations and I was able to earn it in gold.

I guess the US Army likes busy work. One star generals are busy enough as it is going to climate change seminars and critical race Theory indoctrination by the Biden administration, why can't they let a lieutenant colonel or someone like a sergeant major coordinate approval of badges like this?

I earned mine a year back and the German Colonel involved was great, but afterwards finding out it would take several weeks for the MFR to be signed at that level surprised me. It was my first foreign award, but that aspect was quite a curve.

On the original article, I did multiple trainups for the Nijmegen and each team fell through and I hope to get a chance again and would be honored to earn it and wear it. Good share.
