Salzburg is beautiful in the winter; was there in 1992. The one winter destination that I have on my to do list is the Tetons and snowmobile trip through Yellowstone.

Salzburg is amazing summer or winter; that's one we did visit. With two tours in Germany we got out regardless of the weather....

Took a trip down with friends to see Neuschwanstein Castle during the winter when I was Germany back in the 80s. One of the most scenic views I've encountered.
