For the 2023 CWV Women Veterans Trailblazers “Women Making the Difference” initiative, CWV has defined a woman Veteran Trailblazer as a woman who has served and separated from the service and makes an impact by enhancing the lives of other Veterans, Veteran families, or Veteran caregivers.

Women in the military and in the Veteran's Affairs have made a huge positive difference in my life over the years! My great late Great Helen served in the Marines during WWII and she received some very high honors for her service! She went on to serve the Mobile Gulf Coast Area as a Liaison for the VA and the Veterans. She was not paid for this service. She was passionate about serving veterans and everyone in need! My Aunt Helen made a huge and lasting impression on me about service to others!
