Since he died of a stroke the next day and it was found they used pepper spray, I doubt this will go very far.

It's sad that Sicknick passed. However, the stroke would have still happened on 7 January.

Capt Gregory Prickett Oh, I bow to your superior knowledge of the judicial system. We all know how great it is. You lord it over people all the time.

There is no evidence that Sicknick died as a result of anything that occurred on January 6th. He suffered no injuries from the pepper spray and received zero injuries which would cause a stroke, and that's according to medical professionals who are familiar with strokes. But I'm sure that the attorneys can find twelve citizens who'll believe what you believe to be true. And that fantasy of Orange Man bad was all based on proven lies.

You don't have to convince all of the jurors in a civil trial, and you only have to show it by a preponderance of the evidence. All that the plaintiff has to show is that it was "more likely than not" that Trump's actions caused insurrectionists to take actions that may have caused Sicknick's stroke and subsequent death.
