We see it all the time on both coasts and near the rivers...build on flood plains and your house will be subject to flooding. Build on a hillside and be subject to mudslides...

What you say is true ma’am. The hillsides and mountainsides in California have been more unstable that the east coast and northern west coast. This is just a plain fact. Los Angeles reported 2.73 inches of rain while Bel Air had 5.27 inches of rain, a lot yes, but unheard of, no. On new media reports "the most impressive storm to strike the area since January 5-7, 2005."… a whole 28 years! I don’t know maybe it is a record. All I’m saying is the infrastructure built on California is too much for the land to sustain it. MHO

SFC (Join to see) - I feel California's bigger problem is not the level of infrastructure built but Democrats indoctrination that someone else will solve their problems for them. I have yet to meet a hard core Democrat that believes anything in their life is their responsibility.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Very sad but what you say may be true. I speak of their physical problems. you speak of their social problems.
