More Green Energy BS. Someone should tell these morons that it snows out here and the wind blows a lot of dirt around, both will cover their solar panels so they will need constant cleaning. The N.A. Tribes will probably tie this up in the courts for years to come unless they're getting a huge payout up front. If they don't the Ranchers and Environmentalists will. We can only hope.

This is insane. Wiping out animal habitat, obviously they will wipe out trees and other green plants that scrub CO2 to produce oxygen. Stupid.

What you say is true and should be part of their environmental clearance process.

Have you been on reservations in the central US? In general trees are a rarity and once construction is complete solar farms become habitat for all sorts of animals. It's happened less than a couple miles from where I live. Our power company built a huge solar facility that is now home to many small animals, some of which are threatened or endangered.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I also know of large tracts of solar fams in middle GA. They purchased large tracts of farmland that in addition to the crops, deer and other animals had used the field for food. We were offered a 10 year lease on our farmland in NC, which would have netted about 1.5 Mil over the 10 years, to allow the placement of solar panels. We prefer to keep it as farmland.

Maj Robert Thornton Nothing wrong with that. Any development reduces the natural state of land but solar farms probably has the least impact.
