I was a huge avid Ultimate Frisbee player from back in my days in AFROTC where They played a slightly modified version of the game. Our Detachment was very good though and even took on the surrounding AFROTCs from nearby universities and states (never losing a game). After my commission I started Ultimate as an intramural sport at Offutt AFB and coached/led my unit's team to the base championship. I went on to play several pick up games around the places I lived and was always recognized for my very accurate and deceptive hammer throw.
Today I don't have the speed (or body ache tolerance) I once had to keep up with the kids, but I still can deliver the right throw in the right place at the right time. Unfortunately, I don't play anymore.

While I was aware of Ultimate Frisbee, I never played it really knew the rules. I definitely would not be able to play in my current condition. :)

SFC (Join to see) - I went to school at East Carolina University and although Ultimate is not an NCAA sport, there is a collegiate level competition between a large number of universities. East Carolina was the back to back national champions for 93 and 94. Our AFROTC team would play our college team every now and then, in which they kicked the crap out of us. It was good practice though.
