Programs like Turbo Tax are straight forward but sometimes miss credits you may be eligible for versus if you go through a CPA. However, the cost of a CPA may outweigh the credits you receive so do what you and your financial advisor feel is best. I digress. With respect to your letters, make sure if they do or do not require a response. They usually tell you what's required and needed.

The one about my granddaughter we adopted many years ago specifically said not to do anything and just don't take the deduction this year. I will double check all my input. Maybe I just pressed a wrong button last year. It looked kind of strange to me but God knows what is happening in there these days. The agent I did speak to on the first issue was very nice.

It basically goes through all the COVID tax credits that no longer exist. I don't worry about taxes much. I use Turbo Tax. I know that are many other programs just as good out there, but I've been with them since the beginning. We always like what we learned on.
