Never doubt the ability of Progressive Democrats to take money from people. They are masters at it... along with a few other things.

Next up, taxing people who watch a movie made in California or ate a veggie grown there...

CSM Chuck Stafford - PA doesn't either, but many states do tax food, prepared and unprepared. And, growers in CA and movie makers in CA do pay taxes on the goods and services they create, even if they don't reside in CA. So, that's already happening.

LTC Kevin B. - Ah I see, I am more jesting that Cali kicks it up a level an tax residents of other states that have no connection to Cali except for the products. It's looney and not in the Canadian way

CSM Chuck Stafford - That wouldn't go over well in those states. For sure.

Not much of a threat when Georgia has produced more movies than California since 2016. I dont think any production companies actually left since the introduction of the heartbeat bill.

Someone needs to get to Sacramento and take the crack pipes away from their representatives. I just can't help it but I don't have any sympathy for anyone who moves to that state on purpose.

I agree if you were born there your stuck with it... but it brings back some memories. I remember when some friends were ETSing from Benning in the mid 80's many were talking about going to California to establish residence, I believe because residences could get college for free.
