This is one of a handful of Lancaster Heavy bombers that still survive. This one is at a museum in Nanton, Alberta, Canada. They make an event of firing it up and running the engines at night.
I have been to the Museum but not to the engine running event. At least not yet...
2 are still flying. 1 in Canada and 1 in England. They both fly together air shows worldwide.
Hopefully this particular Lancaster gets to join them someday.

LTC Stephen Conway The village of NANTON has made vast improvements in the airplane and it’s display since I first saw it in 1995.. At the time, high schoolers were acting as docents and giving tours thru the narrow body airplane. I had to almost squeeze thru the fuselage in order to go from the cockpit to the bomb bay.
