As senior Army leaders wrestle with ongoing mold and other quality-of-life issues that junior enlisted troops face, one of those junior soldiers -- an infantryman coder -- is trying to help the force understand the scope of the problem at Fort Stewart, Georgia, using tech.
Spc. Salem Ezz, an infantryman assigned to 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, built a series of sensors from scratch that can track humidity in barracks and report conditions for mold in real time.

Sounds like the Mold Issue personally affected someone who had the where with all to try to do something about it.

We used the old fashion recipe of bleach, scrub brushes and paint. It worked every time.

I HEAR YOU!!! And that's the way it works. Having PO and SGTs inspecting the working and living areas in the 'old days', had some benefits. When it came to cleanliness the disease prevention/personal hygiene the hard learned battlefield lessons have been forgotten. NCOs and Petty Officers aren't passing them on because they never learned them and somehow another "How-To Shower" films won't cut it.
