Excellent post. Thank You for sharing this. I recall when I used to be stationed at Naval Station Mayport, Florida in 1993 there were a lot of prostitutes working close to the base. After a while cops made a lot if arrests and cleaned that area up. They just moved to another part of town.

It seems they always find a place to make a living. Your story reminds me of a funny story that happened circa 1987 in front of the 72 Engr Co Barracks on Kelly Hill Benning. It was a payday Friday and Top was giving us our talk before releasing us for the weekend. Did I mention Top was a Reverend and a very good man. Well anyway, as he was going on and on about being safe and everything else… a car was cruising by very slowly, on top of it was a girl in short shorts and a halter standing bend forward and holding her ankles with her butt up in the air toward us. Our formation was facing the road and Top’s back was toward it. Top was so long winded the car cruised by two times without Top realizing it. He must have believed he was giving an inspiring talk from all the smiles he got from us. I have to laugh just thinking about it. Those were some good times. :)
