Laws on the books failed...he was a felon and shouldn't have had one anyway...more regulation and laws won't work.

Call me pedant. But ALL weapons, are by definition assault weapons. A hammer is a tool. Until you use it to beat Paul Pelosi. Then it is a weapon. What do we call the crime of attacking someone?
