Flew into what is now a Japanese Naval Air Base in 1969 and while there had a chance to visit the joint memorial on Mt Suribachi. Quite moving. Thanks for the remembrance.

I get a chill just thinking about it. So many of our brothers died. That must have been something to actually see Mt Suribachi.
