BS on the DOD... or BS on the idea trailing a flag while parachuting?

SFC (Join to see) - BS on DoD...what the heck are theythinking. Fly the flag and fly it proudly even if it is on a parachute. OK here is an idea...won't let them fly the flag trailing, then order the rectanglular chutes as a flag...that will do it!

I understand the statement that it would be difficult to not let the flag touch the ground as it descends. That is one of my pep peeves when I see people disrespecting the flag. I'm really careful about not letting the National Ensign touch the ground.

But my concern is, that reasoning alone, is not the real reason for the memo. Our military leadership is succumbing to the "woke", easily offended pathetic minority of society, that is offended by patriotism. I just shake my head in disgust and with leadership like this, who needs enemies? They are breaking down the military from within.

I believe we are alike. I can see argument on both sides of the issue. My biggest pet peeve is using the flag as a piece of clothing. I can't abide by it, but it seems it's OK for most. At the end of the day, it seems the DOD does what it feels like. They justify anything.
