Service members and veterans who helped evacuate Afghans in August 2021 testified in harrowing detail about their experiences Wednesday during the first hearing of the GOP-controlled House Foreign Affairs Committee's investigation into the Biden administration's chaotic exit from America's longest war.
Among the witnesses was Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a still-serving Marine Corps sniper, who previously told The Washington Post he believes he identified the suicide bomber who killed 13 U.S. troops outside the Kabul airport but was denied approval to shoot him before the attack. On Wednesday, Vargas-Andrews, fighting to talk through tears, recounted the attack, which left him with an amputated leg and arm.

The Government is not in " control".
The Billionaires world wide are the actual Rulers. The politicians just put a face and Legality to it.
We vote for persons to be placed on the " Board" . It seems easier and easier because the candidates are those with nearly forgone conclusion. If party " A" puts a candidate that is " too conservative " then Party "B" has a more moderate candidate up for the vote,,, who do you think would win?! Just look at the Governor's race in PA. And look at the candidates leanings/ positions , on current issues..
Any body wonder how we have Shapiro as Governor noe??!

Whoever came up with the strategy of the personnel order of evacuation, and the physical parameters of it, and approved it, should be dishonorably discharged for gross incompetence.

Cpl Vic Burk - Maj Joan Marine - With the redundance our military has in reviewing operations I just can’t see how this level of incompetence could have taken place. Some of our military members need to remember they have a duty to disobey unlawful orders and/or orders they know will cause needless death and destruction, to the point of removing yourself if need be. I don’t know, maybe the thought process just changed over the years since I actively served.
