The Donut Dollies of Vietnam – The Campaign for the National Museum of the United States Army

Got to carry several of the teams to fire bases up near the DMZ. The look on the faces of the Marines saw them getting off the bird said more than any words I can come up with. The word from home was about the "demonstrations" and the Donut Dollies showed up in some God forsaken places even the Generals never visited. They were all beautiful and such a break from the routine.

The Donut Dollies were effective in improving morale. A smile and a bit of conversation was better than any shot in the arm for medicinal purposes. Kudos to these special ladies. MAJ Montgomery Granger
