Is New York lowering its minimum test scores for student proficiency going to help children, or our Country for that matter? This is the Democrat solution for bad performance, lower the standards. How sad.

SFC (Join to see) - Excellent! Still have mine and often use it while flying. Gen X and Y = amazed and Boomers love it. Also have a jumbo size teaching unit for my office. A few years back we awarded slide rules at work to some of our senior engineers and QA staff for improving product yield.

SFC (Join to see) - Have an article from the San Jose Mercury News in a box somewhere by a San Jose State or Stanford professor stating the benefits of *still* learning how to use a slide rule. Rowed against MIT in college. To this day I can recite their fight song, Rutgers notwithstanding.

CPT (Join to see) - I was part of the last class at the Penn State Wilks Barre Campus to be taught the slide rule in the year of 77-78. It seems like such a long time ago now.
