They have always had issues with them so it really doesn’t surprise me. And I would be hesitant myself flying in one.

Not me...I was on the original development/procurement team that was considering buying these. I would go up tomorrow. But I sure as heck would not fast rope out of one...downwash would take you out. Well, maybe I would.

MSgt (Join to see) - Used to be a thrill seeker...now I am risk adverse. Things don't heal like they used to and my pain tolerance is no where around what it used to be. Just got to pick and choose my thrills now!

Yes they do! The Air Force Special Ops community has been complaining about then for quite awhile. And I know the Corps has complained as well.

Interesting article. Very safe airplane. I have a friend that flys them and loves every minute of it. It is a shame to see military budgets being reduced (to fund other political agendas) and not growing fleets. One day I am afraid we will be screaming for more airplanes and won't have them and will be going to the boneyard and bringing those fighters and helos out just to get by...and that is dangerous .

Interesting, I knew someone myself who has flown the Osprey and not cared for it. I agree we are walking a slippery slope selling the farm.

I have been in a few planes and helicopters but I personally don’t have experience with the V-22.
