Soldiers Are Away from Home Now More than Ever Despite No Major Ongoing Wars

So are we in the Red Cross...it's amazing how many people are now deployed outside the USA

Excellent share. I honestly think it's the nature of the beast. You train for war so when none is going on you still must go someplace to accomplish that training.

I spent half of my career overseas - not quite 10 years, 18 months of that in a combat zone.
I'm gonna guess that's not unusual.
