I used to sing that to my children when they were little for obvious reasons (the lyrics) Also one of the main songs in the musical “Carousel”

Those were the days of hoping I'd be at home when these songs came on, acoustic guitar in hand, trying to learn songs from AM radio. FM radio - as we know it today was yet to come. What FM radio there was in those days was essentially funeral parlor music ... ZZZzzzzzz. Home recording was years in the future.
