An inspiring quote that may apply here:

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”
JFK.
Can we afford to not support Ukraine?

right now attrition isn't that big of an issue, training is. Properly outfitted and trained troops will lessen the attrition.
I'm not a fan of this action in general, but defending a homeland is a serious force multiplier.

One well trained Russian with experience is exponentially more effective than a hoard of mal-trained novices. In the very beginning, Zelensky was arming housewives with AK-47s, a violation of the Geneva Conventions. He was also encouraging civilians to make Molotov cocktails - unlawful incendiary devices - to use against Russian soldiers, also a Geneva violation. Since then, many civilians and Ukrainian soldiers have died. They have more military equipment than they can effectively operate. They are kidnapping military aged males off of the streets and forcing them into service. This is desperation, not a plan for victory. In fact, "victory" for Zelensky and all those involved in the corrupt money laundering scheme supporting Ukraine will be realized when the contracts are given for rebuilding Ukraine after hostilities end.
