Sad the people on the submarine died. They took a risk and lost. Some of the people responsible for the operation ignored warnings of potential carbon fiber failure.

No one should ignore warnings of inspections and standards for structures in life and death situations. I am a former Certified Bridge Safety Inspector. I can tell you if you find a crack in some bridge members you many have to close the bridge immediately.

We may all disagree about some things but at the end of the day we do have more in common. In my opinion these people do appear to have some kind of mental illness. If our society is transitioning into people like these, we are in trouble.
