How sad. It is questionable if they will ever be able to establish law and other again with all the bureaucratic BS that has been institutionalized. Obviously their voters are happy with how their life is. I have no problem with it as long as they stay away from where I live.

Even if they want to go back to a different level it will be hard to do. The police will not have the power ever again to create change even if tough love going back to standards. The people have been allowed a certain level of chaos they will not give back.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Until the majority of people get tired of all the stealing, rape, murder, burning, and such; they will have what they voted for. While a police departments can be destroyed in a year, it will take 10 years of better to repair the damage done to the departments.

You can not have criminals and insane people control cities. This seems like common sense but nothing these days is as rare as common sense.

This will change when voters have had enough of this and elect politicians who care about their constituents.

Seattle is getting pretty far behind this that different politics may not save them. Ten to twenty years ago they could have installed a powerful police to force change but not in 2023. Tough love today just is not possible like it once was.
