They were all brave folks doing what they were trained to do. Like we all do in easy and hard times.
It's sad that their leadership failed them and has to accept blame for their deaths due to the date related evacuation. As far as I know--the only punishment was for the Marine LTC for his criticism of the pullout.
We also seem to neglect the Americans that were injured in the attack. I think it was somewhere the 100 range. Not to mention the Afghan civilians that were killed and injured in the attack.

SFC (Join to see) - Seems like private groups have done a better job than our own government. I worked with plenty of these guys in Iraq, but none in Afghanistan. I wonder how the Friday market guys are doing under the Taliban.
