I will point out that Raytheon used to pay a guy in his 80's to just come to work and sleep at his desk. They did this because he was the best in the world with a radar and every time he was awake working on a problem I was there looking over his shoulder, asking questions and learning from the Best in the World. You can't replace the knowledge that folks like Doc or Mitch have. So from a political point of view if you are a republican you want Mitch in office. Without him you get steamrolled. But hey go for it.

You’re assuming he can do the job and provide the knowledge now. It’s become clear that this is a problem. I appreciate the service he’s provided for our country, but he clearly needs to step down. One thing I’ve learned along the way, no one stands alone in being the all knowing, only person that can do the job. If that’s the case, we have bigger problems. I want new blood not only for McConnell, but across the board. It’s time for the Baby Boomers + to retire and move on.
