"According to analysis by Capital Economics, China's economy is likely to still be the world's second biggest in 2050, trailing the U.S.1. This prediction is at odds with a common view that China is set to surpass the U.S. as the world's biggest economy and stay there. Bloomberg Economics also predicts that China may never become the world's largest economy, with its GDP briefly passing the US's in the mid-2040s before "falling back behind"2. Standard Chartered last year predicted that the US in 2020 would lose its crown, saying it's unlikely to ever become the most powerful economy again once it slips behind3."...

China has the world's second largest economy. As much as they are our enemy, we are still intrinsically tied to them economically.
Time to start fixing supply chains NOW. Batten down the hatches and get ready for things to get worse before they get better.
I make no secret of my contempt for Bidenomics. But if/when China implodes, I will readily admit the inevitable downturn in the American economy will *not* be entirely Joe's fault.
That being said, if we know it is coming and do nothing to prepare, that *is* on Joe.

The Joe Biden administration says the restrictions are directed at protecting national security, not stifling economic competition.
