And you have it right. But no one seems willing to say that. I would hold the unlawful ones until hell froze over. And given the state of things right now, the lawful ones would be close behind.

Indeed. "Until the end of hostilities" is pretty clear to me. Just under 800 ever held at Gitmo (out of tens of thousands captured), and 745+ RELEASED! Zero executions!

Article Quote: "The Obama administration and many human rights activists counter that 9/11 terrorists’ torture and military commission trials undermine American ideals of equal justice under the law, violate the Geneva Conventions, and endanger U.S. soldiers captured overseas."
The Obama administration and many human rights activists are a bunch of horse's rear ends! The United States is a worldwide laughingstock because we gave terrorists rights under our laws. The Geneva Convention doesn't apply to terrorists, they should have been tried by the military plain and simple.

SFC (Join to see) Tried by military tribunal? Great! Wonderful! As long as there is an actual trial with due process. Tribunal, court martial, circuit court, hell even the people's court. I don't care.

But held indefinitely without trial? That's a problem for me.

SFC Casey O'Mally - That was working out the logistics of trying them in a civilian court. It shouldn't have been done. They should have been tried, convicted, and hung in short order. MHO
