Having been near moose and bear in my life all I can say is being close to one of them leaves a person feeling very inadequate.

Momma Moose can be quite Violent when a calf is threatened, I've heard of them stomping folks and I would imagine Bears too.

I wouldn’t want to be anywhere around that fight. You would get squished like a bug. I was up close and personal with some moose in the North Maine Woods in the early 90’s. They go where they want to go when they want to go. You don’t want to be on the ground by them.

SFC (Join to see) - I was Fly Fishing in the Trout Stream behind King Salmon AB in Alaska in 85, it was pretty common to see them cross the stream up there, they are Huge. More than once I was trying to hold up my waders and going as fas as I could in 3' of water trying to get out of the way because of exactly as you said, if they want to go somewhere they do not care who they step on or run over to get there.
