The government of Israel has long wanted to start a regional conflict - only if U.S.A. could be drawn into it to actively and openly protect Israel.
Providing THAADs to a loose cannon nation that suffers so badly from paranoia as a nation that it has long invited attacks with its aggressively brutal defense that has always been on the offense? It is supposed to be a deterrent to other nations - as long as they are not used. Who is providing oversight for weapons we furnish?
The alliance backing the government of Iran is at issue. The sun is not necessarily shining brightly on that alliance.
