Lt Col Charlie Brown In desperation we may have to but personally I am against it. Just clean up our woke military and quit catering to the pansy's and we won't have to draft.

You actually mean for us to act like a “military” vs a social experiment? Pretty radical there Vic…

not sure but I think the draft helped get the war protest's going during Viet Nam, It may be needed again and after 9 11 vol. came out of the woodwork. Lets hope it's never needed again

Can't see this generation being capable of this kind of responsibility. Attendance at school, gender questions, trauma rooms, equity nonsense, knowledge of civics, fat/skinny, drugs, tattoos, piercings, fiscal responsibility, etc. Need I go on?

I respectfully disagree. In todays society young people of military age are allowed to live in their iPhone a safe and secure bubble where they can promulgate their starry-eyed ideas. Compulsory military service would be a swift kick in the nether regions causing their man buns to fall and their Brest feeders to go dry! They behave the way they do because they are not called on it! A 0500 trash can banging arousal would go a long way to putting some starch back in our national pencil.

Americans have lived through conscription before and bring it back for both men and woman would result in everyone having some skin in the game. Not doing it will leave us with our pants down around our ankles… leaving America open to a surprise rear attack … if you get my drift.

WWI & WWII were conscripted armies with both volunteers and conscripts. I served in Vietnam with conscripts. Some presented a unique command challenge but most performed their duties and departed the Army when their “hitch” was up!

If we don’t want to lose our Republic… bring back the draft.

Although I agree with your post, times were different when we took the oath, our country is in a different state. When I enlisted, limited jobs, no safety net and no apparent future. I did it to survive. 21 years later absolutely no regrets. I believe Selective Service should be brought back, that is all inclusive genders. Your last sentence is the imperative in these days and times.
