Although technically complex, hybrids are more efficient and have been around for several decades, so the systems and components are reliable. We have a gas/electric hybrid (non chargable) and we love it. I would not buy an electric vehicle. BTW, we also have a 1960s Porche...

Wonderful! My 21 year old son has worked for Toyota for over three years and recently bought himself a Camry hybrid - one of the finest automobiles I have ever seen and ridden in. Awesome machine! I also own a 2014 Ford Mustang V6 Premium convertible! All gas, baby!

While not mentioning it specifically, the article makes mention of "Dead in the water" In case of an EMP all the electronic cars are out. All I have to do is change the ignition module back to points and I'm rolling again.
