VFW Calls on SECDEF to Recognize Operation Atlantic Resolve Service with Medal

"With President Joe Biden’s executive order issued July 14, approving the mobilization of select reservists of the Armed Forces to active duty to support Operation Atlantic Resolve, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Commander Tim Borland is renewing his call for the Department of Defense to award the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal to those service members deployed to defend NATO’s eastern flank."

Have they added any extra pay to this mission? When I was on OAR they took our BAS which was $360 at the time, and then paid us $260 for OAR bonus pay a month. Then in the middle of our rotation our per diem was canceled. Married soldiers were only making an extra $70 a paycheck for OAR when accounting for loss of BAS, family sep, and OAR pay.
