Qatar on Wednesday announced a truce-for-hostages deal between Israel and Hamas that would bring a four-day halt in fighting in a devastating six-week war, win freedom for dozens of hostages held in the Gaza Strip, and also lead to the release of dozens of Palestinian prisoners.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said it would announce within a day when the clock will start ticking on the truce, during which 50 hostages will be released in stages in exchange for what Hamas said would be 150 Palestinians prisoners held by Israel. Those freed by both sides will be women and children.
Humanitarian aid to besieged Gaza would also increase.

I am very thankful for the release of some of the Hostages but will continue to pray for those still in captivity.

Israel cannot let the initiative slip away. The total destruction of Hamas is the only acceptable outcome.

I just don’t understand how this will work. For US with Germany and Japan we would only accept unconditional surrender, and they weren’t nearly as bad as the Palestinians in Gaza who elected Hamas to lead them.

The "nearly as bad", is a matter of prespective and would depend on if the NAZI killed all your family that remained in Germany after WWI.

SFC Ralph E Kelley I understand your thinking. While the Nazis sure killed a lot of people and were very cruel, I don’t believe they have the record of using rape and such as a tool of war that the Palestinians and Hamas have. MHO
