That would be such a remarkable development for those 8.4 +/- people on insulin.

Thank President Biden. He fought for this and finally made it happen despite Republican and lobbyist opposition.

Instead of micro bio insulin pumps... Why not concentrate on StemCell therapy to rehabilitate the pancreas so it functions as it was designed... Hhummm, or maybe, Neonate StemCells and patient doner pancreas cells and clone a replacement pancreas for surgical transplant... Oh, oh, oh, Neonate StemCells, doner pancreas cells and grow one in place, extracting the defective pancreas when the replacement is functioning... Yeah, that's what they should concentrate on.

Don't, My wife and sister-in-law are Type-1 diabetic, Pancreas, or liver- pancreas, kidney-pancreas transplants are one method of treatment for Type-1 Diabetes, and my sister-in-law has undergone several transplant procedures. So, developing a method to clone a functioning pancreas for the diabetic would enhance the patient's wellbeing better than developing a micro bio insulin pump that would require some type of reservoir creating additional issues for the patient.
