We had field days on Thursday and it has best be clean or no weekend liberty. We never had that issue and I lived in squadbays back in the day.

Even School of Infantry trainees live in 2-3 man dorm style quarters. I have never seen any open squad bays on Lejeune but then again I don’t prow every street there.

1SG Russell S. - We are talking fifty years ago! Building 313 I think was the number near main side. It was within reasonable walking distance to the main base PX. I would imagine by now they have replaced those old worn out buildings.

Cpl Vic Burk - no, they are still there….big long brick two story buildings connected at the front end into groups of two buildings. They seem to have converted them to office space for whatever purposes. Most of the old brick buildings from the late 1940s/1950s are still going strong. Field house is there too. Old PX is a shopette now as they build a new bigger one with commissary down the road.
It think you would still recognize the place for the most part.
Don’t for get the Lejeune Water lawsuits going on……might wanna check into those.

1SG Russell S. - I'm on the registry with the water contamination. The V.A. denies that my stomach issues are related to the water so I guess I'll have to wait until I get stomach cancer before they acknowledge it's from Camp Lejeune.
