Its a shame, some hatred is so deep in some people, even groups of people, that they cannot come to an understanding that would benefit both groups.

Thus it has always been. However, in this age, especially in America, the fires of hatred have been fanned by identity politics. Our leaders use fear and hatred of all things different to fortify their positions of power.

I agree. Instead of finding ways to bring us together they just try to find ways of getting more people on their side that hate someone or something on the other.
