I'm not sure when the world went to shit, but it sure has done so with a vengeance.
Perhaps firing the Martineau, who actually got things accomplished was wrong? Perhaps 'toxic leadership' firings were wrong too. How many 'toxic leaders' had ships or units that couldn't go to war?

Military decline started with Clinton and the disdain the democrats carried against our forces. The Regan & Bush presidencies built up the services and maintained them at a high ready state. A wasted war in Iraq and 8 years of Obama appointments. Recent history is self explanatory.

The Bonhomme Richard destroyed by fire in port. The Boxer unfit due to incompetence. Two sister ships that were part of the overall transformation of the Navy & Marine Corps. It may very well be a blessing in disguise that this happened before actual combat. There is still time to turn this around but it will be essential to elect President Trump to stop this whirlpool of failures. Trump derangement Syndrome actually endorses failure as a prize that is acceptable to the orange man. How shallow this mindset is bewildering and denies actual reality.

It sounds like they need an overhaul in the dry docks and it sounds like the moral is low.
