At some point, this becomes the very definition of insanity. Much like the hurricane and tornado stricken areas of the US. Rebuilding without upgrading a home's survivability is not very smart.

A question for folks in Cali, do they do controlled burns. Georgia uses controlled burns to take away the fuel on the ground.

That is something I was curious about..I know the DNR and rangers did not practice controlled burns in California until the early to mid 80's perhaps 90's? Not sure, have to call the local extension office & their employees.
