I am still concerned about those who voted against this single-issue bill, which had no additional pork. This is a perfect example of the common sense legislation Americans want to see. Straight up, no additional political pork aimed at keeping politicians that support it from voting for it.

As of late we've watched bills for say border security (and others) include non-related controversial issues like funding for Ukraine or Israel, when these should be distinctly separate bills. So, I applaud the GOP for structuring this one in the manner they did, and we now can absolutely point to those on the left that are not interested in dealing with the illegal immigrant problem, specifcially those committing crimes.

If common sense was more pervasive, we wouldn’t be talking about this. And, we would have term limits.

Rep Norman and Sen Cruz are both trying to push for this again and it has been introduced. Will it pass? Not likely, but it's up to us to keep the pressure up. Term limits have always been a bipartisan issue. Unfortunately, it also has bipartisan resistance too.

While I'm happy they could come to an agreement, will every law need to have a victim's name attached to it.

My brother was hit and killed by a car driven by an illegal alien. Should there be 'Mark's law' regarding illegal aliens driving cars?
