Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to this edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) for January 19, 2025.
This 2 1/2 minute video clip comes to us from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. They have blended mission simulation and actual imagery from the Huygens space probe that touched down on Titan (Saturn's largest moon) in 2005. You can see (at 1:57) the shadow of the parachute that lowered the spacecraft to the surface. Be sure to adjust your browser tab to full-screen mode. Cheers.

SPC (Join to see) I had not remembered that Huygens was designed to float in case it landed on a methane ocean.
