So, the new administration that just won election, wants to limit voting... of course we already knew this. This previous directive was non-partisan:
Federal laws ban federal employees from favoring one political party over another when promoting voter registration. And the now-rescinded order covered longstanding federal agencies' voter registration efforts that are authorized under federal laws — including the State and Defense Departments helping eligible military members and other U.S. citizens living abroad vote.

The "agenda"... was to encourage voting. We had that kind of mandate the whole time I was on active duty - in every unit I was in for 28 years, prior to elections. Our Veteran Service Organizations, like the VFW, do the same. To provide information on how to register to vote. That's all. 36% of eligible voters DID NOT VOTE at all in the 2024 elections. As a (notional) candidate in a 3-way race "DID NOT VOTE" got more "votes" than either major party's candidate.

This in no way limits voting. It takes Gov't agencies, with an agenda, out of the loop. I had to wait until I quit laughing before I could type this.
